It has been quite a while since I have posted anything, or anything interesting. School started again and has been keeping us busy, but I have been stuck at home all week with what ISU Student Health likes to refer to as "a probable case of the H1N1 virus." Meaning that since I already had my seasonal flu vaccine and that I positively have some sort of flu, they are not going to spend the money to run the official confirmation test. So, as predicted, I have the swine flu. My professor told me that I am her first official swine student, and I should feel special. I would have felt better if I had not contracted it.

The Unread

In other news, Ty's band opened for Shinedown last weekend in St. George, Utah. I got to go down and help out and also received my first Photo Pass. I got to photograph Ty's band and also Shinedown, so hopefully I can build a good portfolio someday.
I also got to visit my nephew (and his parents) for a bit.

The kids and I have been cooped up in the house while I have been isolated this past week, so I have a few cell phone snapshots to share of them. We are getting ready for Halloween, the favorite holiday in this house. Aiden is going to be an Ewok and Adeline is going to be a koala. I am looking forward to it :) I will post koala pictures as soon as her costume arrives next week.

All of the Ford grandbabies (so far) and their names all start with A.(also, so far)

Aiden, Aaron, Adeline, Alix, and Andrew

And the little ones are not too interested :)
Thanks for the pictures Natalie!
Aiden and I decided to do some painting for his room a few months ago. He told me he wanted one with his name and "blue and green and a moon and clouds and some grass thingys." SO he helped me with the blue and white, and he also did a little painting of his own. :"

I was pregnant at the time, so I thought I should also do something for Adeline, but after I put her name down, I really had no idea what to put on it, so I decided I would wait until I got to know her a bit. I finally painted it for her last night, and i think it turned out well.

I also wanted to do something for their walls because we just moved Adeline into Aiden's room and I wanted it to be a new place for both of them, so yesterday Aiden and I went to the craft store and picked up some pre-stretched canvasses and I made these animals for them today. Aiden helped me pick which animals to put on the squares and I also picked a few with Adeline in mind. She is our little koala :)

I have been bad about updating, but we really haven't been too exciting.
Aiden had his tonsils and adenoids removed last month. Things went well, but his voice is still a little higher than we are used to. His stuffed otter got to into surgery with him and that made him feel much better.

Adeline is growing more and more each day. She is just a great baby and we are really enjoying her.

The end of summer is fast approaching and I just hope that school doesn't start too soon. ;)

Nothing new, but I haven't really posted since Adeline's birth announcement and thought I should....

So things have been getting hectic, but they are almost over for a while. Tomorrow kicks off Finals Week, so all of the final projects are due and it has been difficult to get them done with a 3 year old and a new baby who wants to be held all of the time. I am just trying to get done what I can without going crazy and I just keep thinking, it's only one more week.
Aiden and I went to the circus in Holt Arena on Thursday, and we had a pretty good time. It was nice to get out and have some mother/son time, even if he was a little crabby.

Aiden and his bag of Cotton Candy waiting for the circus to begin.

Adeline is growing more and more each day. She is still a really good, cuddly baby. :)

Adeline at 7 weeks old

Officially announcing the birth of our little girl.
She was born on March 13, 2009 and weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.

She is a great baby, not very fussy at all. She prefers to be held and does not like to lay in her crib by herself, but she sleeps well and is starting to put a little weight on and get some chubby cheeks :)

Aiden is adjusting very well to being a big brother and loves to give his sister hugs. At first, he was very creeped out by her umbilical cord stump, but now that it has fallen off, he has decided that she can stay.
It is amazing how much the two of them look alike and we look forward to seeing how our little girl turns out.

She was officially due April 3rd, but was born 3 weeks early. With Aiden, I experienced pre-eclampsia at a pretty early stage and was induced when my kidney and liver function started declining. The same thing started happening with Adeline, although at a much later stage and with some different symptoms, but we were induced again when my kidneys started going downhill. After about 30 hours of contractions and oh so much fun, the nurse discovered that Adeline was breech. She called the doctors in to make sure, and very soon after that we were rushed off for a c-section. It was a very different experience than that of Aiden's birth, and we are just glad everyone made it okay.

After Adeline was born, she was not breathing well, and after Mom got to sneak a quick peek, she was rushed off to the NICU. Ty went with her, and after a few minutes, she was doing extremely well, and was transfered to the well baby nursery before Mom even made it to the recovery room. Her Apgar Scores were 2 and 8, and if you know about the Apgar, 2 is obviously not good at all. Apparently she just needed a little jumpstart :)
Adeline is finally here. We just made it home today, but she was born on Friday the 13th of March after a long and crazy series of events. I will go into full details later, but after about 30+ hours of induced labor, the discovered that her head was not the end that was coming out, and we were rushed in for a c-section. I will post a few pictures and update more when i am feeling a bit better :)

Adeline Roxanne 1 day old.
I had my doctor's appointment yesterday, and as some may know, I have not been feeling well for the past several weeks. My feet and ankles and everything else are swollen beyond belief (I apparently gained 4 lbs of water weight) and I am lightheaded and feel like passing out 24 hours a day (which is probably caused by swelling in my head compressing things it shouldn't). Apparently the pre-eclampsia that was so much fun in my pregnancy with Aiden is returning. This pregnancy has been a breeze compared to the last one, but it seems to be changing.
After my appointment, I was sent to the hospital for a Non Stress Test, which was totally normal, and I have another one scheduled for Monday. I have an appointment again on Thursday, at which point they were talking about setting an appointment for inducing labor. So it is possible that our little girl will be here at the end of next week. Yikes!
I just thought I would add a few pictures of Aiden and an ultrasound of Adeline. Things have been going pretty smoothly so far (knock on wood) and I am hoping it will continue.

Aiden had a Valentine's Party at daycare, and his teacher made crayons shaped like hearts. He wanted to play with all of them.

This is from our 20 week ultrasound when we found out it was a girl. I am sure she has quadrupled in size by now.

The new crib, set up in our room. We only have 2 bedrooms, so we had to fit it in our own for now, Aiden will have to share his room later, but we will wait until she sleeps better. It is not the girliest of bed sets, but I was really in love with the Rainforest Collection, so there it is.
So, I set up this blogspot a while ago, but have yet to figure out how to use it. I am hoping I will figure it out soon and can use it to keep in touch with friends.

I am about a month away from having another baby, a girl this time. Aiden just turned 3 on December 19 and is looking forward to being a big brother, or at least we hope he is. We are 99% sure that this is the last time I will be pregnant, so our little family may soon be complete. I am still going to school this semester and it will be interesting to see how it works out with the baby being born and everything. I hope with a lot of help from my family and friends to finish the semester and then spend a wonderful summer with the 2 kids.
